EOSOL Energies Nouvelles has used 35,000 CS6P modules supplied by Canadian Solar for an 8MW PV power plant now operational in Villeneuve de Marsan, Aquitaine in south western France. The power plant also uses inverters, electrical monitoring systems from Siemens.
“The solar modules from Canadian Solar have been proven in practice to be particularly high efficient and equipped with an industry-leading Plus power tolerance,” said Bruno Bernal, president of the EOSOL Group. "The new solar farm covers 17 fields in Villeneuve de Marsan, and is an important project for us, both in terms of total installed capacity and in terms of our commitment to greater investment in renewable energy."
The plant can provide the equivalent electricity used by 2,500 households and is claimed to reduce 9180 tons of CO2 emissions.
