M+W Group has taken its PV portfolio past the 10GW mark by signing a contract to build a new 1GW solar cell plant in Asia. By reaching this milestone, M+W is further consolidating its position as a market leading provider of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for silicon and thin-film cell and module production facilities.

Since receiving its first EPC contract in 2000, M+W has planned and built a further 40 facilities, establishing itself as a major name in Asia, Europe and North America in the process. Last year, the company was awarded the Solar Industry Award as 'Turnkey Company of the Year 2010'.

M+W will present its turnkey solutions for developing, designing and building PV power plants at next month’s InterSolar Europe event in Münich, Germany. The exhibition runs from June 8-10 and M+W will be situated in hall 5, booth 390.
