Global Solar Energy has entered into module supply agreements with Iscom, Energyka and B.A. Energie, three Italian roof specialist companies. Although specific volume details were not disclosed, Global Solar will supply a significant portion of the modules it produces at its Berlin-Adlershof site to the three new partners.

Global Solar’s PowerFLEX BIPV modules allow plant operators to claim a higher level of FiT of up to €42.7 cents per kilowatt hour. The company says that it has had several queries from US- and Japan-based roofing material manufacturers and project developers in regard to its flexible module range.

"Demand for our new module is extremely high. The market for flexible solar modules is currently growing quickly as they are the best solution for roofs with weight limitations. Our PowerFLEX BIPV modules are of particular interest to the Italian market. They allow operators of photovoltaic systems to benefit from higher feed-in-tariffs", said Jean-Noel Poirier, senior VP of marketing & business development, Global Solar Energy.
